The William Kurelek exhibition “William Kurelek: The Messenger” was also covered by
Carol Wainio’s painting, Structures of memory #2 ,1986 was featured in The Globe and Mail visual art section in Saturday March 10th newspaper. It was sold in a recent auction of Waddington’s new Concrete Contemporary Auctions and Projects division. The painting went into the Concrete sale with a $4,000 – $6, 000 estimate, but spirited bidding both in-house and on the telephone pitched the result to $16,800, including premium. That’s believed to an auction record for the artist.
